I am a poet, reviewer, children’s author, NZ Book Award judge and anthologist. Two recent books include 99 Ways into New Zealand Poetry (co-written with Harry Ricketts and short-listed for the 2011 NZ Post Book Awards) and Dear Heart: 150 New Zealand Love Poems (both Random House). My sixth poetry collection, The Baker’s Thumbprint, was published in May 2013 (Seraph Press); my latest collection is New York Pocket Book (Seraph Press). I have also published three collections for children: Flamingo Bendalingo (AUP), Macaroni Moon (Random House), and The Letterbox Cat (Scholastic) which won Children’s Choice at the New Zealand Book Awards. I also run NZ Poetry Box, a poetry blog for children (http://nzpoetrybox.wordpress.com) and edited A Treasury of NZ Poetry for Children.

I was awarded The Prime Minister’s Award for Poetry and admitted to The New Zealand Order of Merit for Services to Poetry in 2017.

I am currently writing a book on NZ women’s poetry to be published by Otago University Press in 2018.

Hello Paula – my local librarian suggested I ask you this question 🙂 I am looking for a copy of Janet Frame’s poem “The Road to Takapuna”. I wonder if you know where it has been published? Thanks, Lauren
